The Brandon Area Rescue Squad is offering this course for the second year.  Sign up on CSO’s MOJO web page — Mr. Sullivan, who is administering the course, is giving preference to pre-meds, but the deadline is tomorrow [10/16/09] for credit! Mr. Sullivan will be back in the office on Monday morning and will decide then who is in the course.

This is a 1-credit-bearing J-Term course, AND students can live on campus! The course costs $520 and there’s more to pay for the book, but the training is excellent and most useful for future doctors.

This internship is the complete Emergency Medical Technician – Basic course. It includes classroom lectures, practical skills labs, and hospital/ambulance observation time. Transportation from Middlebury College will be available through out the program. The program is set for a maximum of 20-25 participants.

The longstanding Porter J-term internships are a valuable way for our pre-meds to gain clinical experience.  All the materials for this upcoming J-term Porter Hospital internships are updated and live on the CSO website: http://www.middlebury.edu/administration/cso/students/internships/winter/phwti.htm

The entire application is on-line this year.  Pre-med students should indicate Mrs. Wickland as their Academic sponsor; the Faculty advisor also signs the application form.  The deadline for application is Friday, October 9, 2009!
