Tufts will be holding the 1st annual PreDental Day on Friday, April 12th from 11:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. at 1 Kneeland St., Boston.
The event is open to undergraduate and postgraduate students from New England colleges. The half-day program will provide a wealth of information for those looking to enter the dental profession and provide a unique clinical experience to predental students. The day includes a tour of the school, presentations regarding the Tufts dental experience, and an opportunity to participate in preclinical skills lab.
The deadline for applications is Tuesday, March 19th and spaces are limited. Applications are available from Gillian Anzivino: her e-mail is Gillian.Anzivino@tufts.edu .
The American Student Dental Association (ASDA) is the premiere resource for students interested in a career in dentistry. More than 89 percent of all U.S. dental students are members. ASDA also supports a rapidly growing community of predental students.
In addition to resources like “Getting into Dental School,” plus predental checklists and application timelines, ASDA offers leadership training and other tools to assist you in your journey to becoming a dental student.

HSDM’s American Student Dental Association (ASDA) & Oral Health Pursuit of Equity Network (OPEN) presents this year’s Pre-Dental Mini-Conference. All pre-dental students are invited to join us for this wonderful opportunity to become oriented to different aspects of dentistry, as well as life in dental school. Meet the Director of Admissions at HSDM, current dental students, and other pre-dental students from around the Boston and New England area. An ideal experience for students interested in public health or healthcare in underserved and rural communities. The internships will last about 8 weeks (June 10-August 2nd) including an opening and closing conference that will take place at our Wendover location – the historic headquarters of the Frontier Nursing Service located in Hyden, KY. All of our 2013 sites will be located in Appalachia, and students will have unparalleled access to clinics and birth centers that serve unique and wonderful communities.

The New Sector Summer Fellowship program is an intensive, 11-week leadership development program for individuals interested in the social impact sector. Fellows are selected from a highly competitive pool to provide support to Boston and San Francisco organizations that enhances that organizations’ service to their constituents. Our Summer Fellowship program includes:
The Summer Fellowship program: is tailored to undergraduate juniors, seniors, and recent graduates. Fellows serve full-time at a non-profit organization for 11 weeks. Alongside their service, Fellows receive rigorous training from experienced social impact leaders, including 1 week of kickoff training, biweekly afternoon seminars, and 1 full-day workshop. Fellows also receive one-on-one mentorship from leaders in the social impact sector, including for-profit management consultants and non-profit professionals.
Application for Summer 2013 Fellows cohort will open on November 1, 2012.
