Mission: The Digital Learning Commons empowers the Middlebury Institute of International Studies community to pursue academic excellence, professional and organizational effectiveness, and digital media fluency. We accomplish this by providing students, faculty, and staff with training opportunities, technological resources, and collaborative spaces to facilitate peer-driven teaching and learning.

Vision: To be a supportive environment where friends and members of the Middlebury community come to push the limits of their ingenuity. The Digital Learning Commons envisions a thriving professional learning community that engages in creative risk-taking to design and implement innovative solutions.

The Digital Learning Commons focuses its resources primarily on the Monterey campus of the Middlebury Institute, and engages with innovators in digital spaces across the Middlebury organizational ecosystem. The DLC reports up to the office of the Middlebury provost through the Associate Provost for Integration Strategies, and maintains close ties to the Associate Provost for Digital Learning and the Director of Organizational Development.
