Over the summer of 2016, Carolina worked with Professor Charles Nunley to publish clips from 4 films on the French Department website. The videos will be used by FREN 205 classes, as students will watch the films in class and then answer questions based off the selected clips. The students will be able to watch and listen to the clips as many times as necessary to hear the pronunciation and better understand certain words.

The project had several phases and complications that turned out to be great learning experiences. Carolina started by digitizing the four DVDs, from varying regions, using Elgato. She then selected 3-7 clips from each film using Adobe Premiere. However, the process of digitizing disrupted the audio-visual sync of the films, so she solved the problem by unlinking the audio-visual tracks and manually synchronize them for each clip. Then, she created web pages for each film on two French WordPress sites, and uploaded the clips along with instructions and images for the French students.
