Join a group of Middlebury College students for a work weekend at Zeno Mountain Farm on May 11th – 13th
What’s Zeno Mountain Farm? A non-profit, alternative community that hosts camps and excursions for the mentally and physically handicapped, BUT they open their doors to ANYONE and EVERYONE who wants to be a part of the experience. You can visit their Facebook page here or see their website here.
What will we be doing when we’re there? We’ll be working on the construction of their new barn (hopefully to finish up the project!) during the day, and spending quality time with the family who began the organization and some of their regular campers around the bonfire at night.
What about lodging? We will be sleeping in the log cabins on site which have about 10 bunked beds per cabin. You would be responsible for bringing sleeping bags and a sleeping pad. We can borrow these from the Mountain Club
Interested? Email Jessica Munyon ’14, jmunyon@middlebury.edu, to sign up.

We’re looking for three dynamic people to partner with us as members of the Intel for Change team. This year each team will be sent to India, Kenya or Ecuador where they’ll spend ten days immersed in the local culture and learning about the state of girls’ education. Teams will be tasked with delivering crucial information about education in these developing countries.  Upon your return, you and your teammates will become the voice of change for girl’s education sharing your experiences via documentaries, essays, and speakerships as part of the Intel for Change program. If chosen you’ll work with your Intel mentor on a plan to tackle the issues girls face. The entire experience will be documented and filmed allowing you to share your amazing journey.  Are you passionate about the issue of girls’ education? Why? Are you ready to help us knock down one of the barriers between children in the developing world and the chance for a better future? How? We want to hear from you! Apply here.
