Are you anxious to keep up with world news? Here are a few tips:

Visit the library’s print newspaper collection. We have subscriptions to 32 newspapers in French, German, Spanish, Arabic, Russian, Chinese, Japanese and Korean. We also have The Monterey County Herald, San Francisco Chronicle, New York Times, Wall Street Journal, Financial Times and International Herald Tribune.

In addition to our print newspapers, we have access to over 500 international newspapers in digital editions through a service called PressDisplay – you’ll find a link to it on our Research Databases page. This collection includes newspapers in over 30 languages.

You can also find newspaper articles through some of our databases. Proquest has full text articles from New York Times, Christian Science Monitor, Los Angeles Times, Washington Post and Wall Street Journal. LexisNexis Academic Universe is a great resource for news research – you can search hundreds of international newspapers and newswires for both current and older articles.
