Wiki updates

Several edits have been made to both the Borrowing and Circulation staff wiki pages. The links to the right have been updated to point to the most useful page for each. Please let me know if you can’t find something that used to be readily available. Also, please feel free to update any out-of-date information. I did not update content, only the organization and location of the info.

STATS WEEK!

Next Monday, Nov. 8th, will be the official, fully licensed, accept-no-substitutes start of STATS WEEK.
“What does this mean for me?” you may be asking yourself.
You’ve got some of nerve.

But seriously.

We stopped making you keep stats all the time, so for this one week, please keep track of any question you get asked and tally it on this form. I will try to keep that page up all the time so you can just switch over to it. Supervisors will try to remind you as best we can, but in order for these to be useful statistics, we need to make a strong effort to actually record them. Check out the categories listed and let me know if you have any questions.

It’s Gate Count Blitz Week!

Note from Dan:
Starting today (Friday 3/12) we are celebrating GATE COUNT WEEK! (pause for applause) We are making a concentrated effort to get a full and accurate gate count for one full week, every hour. At each circ desk, there will be a sheet for recording. This should be pretty self-explanatory, but I will explain anyway: If you look at the sheet and the current hour of the current day is blank, put the gate count in it. At Main – look for the “P” before the number – indicates patron, not “A” for alarm count.
Any questions?
Now get out there and count those gates!

New Stats to Click and Gate Count

Please note that we have a new stats system. The link can be found in the upper right corner of the Circ blog and will soon be available on all front desk computers.
Circ desks will be responsible for recording gate counts.
Supervisors – please ensure that gate counts are entered in the new stats system.
Student employees – please take the gate count when you arrive for your shift and record it on the new Zoho stats form at the beginning of every shift.
Please also note that there is a new spot to click on any incidents of the alarm going off.
Many thanks!
Elin 🙂
