User Services Weekly Report

Circulation Services – Circ, Reserves, and Stacks

Statistics:
• Babies born in the past week to circ staff: 1 (Ties the previous record set the week of April 4th, 2008)
• Items on reserve so far: 954
Highlights: (Progress towards Goals, accomplishments)
Armstrong:
• Nice quiet week last week with lots accomplished
• Late reserve requests coming in – lots of recalls placed
• Evaluation meetings done
• Busy first day
• Lots of student schedule changes this week
Davis Family:
• Nice to catch up last week
• Very busy this week – lots of activity on all fronts
• New posters put up for librarians
• Working on bookings for screenings
• Almost done swapping out old laptops for new
• New Mac laptop loaner cleaning procedure
• Writing evaluations and having meetings
• Billing warning sent out
• Getting all carrel keys back for next week’s carrel day
Stacks:
• Added 24 new shelves to the lower level where the VT display used to be
• Made it to HV 6430 in the H shift
• Working on schedule for Spring stacks students
Reserves:
• So many reserves…so few Kellams

Teams
• Space team met with architects again to discuss Info Desk renovation

Challenges:
• Banner-Millennium coding was done incorrectly in the Fall – resulted in 1543 thesis students and 42 sophomores in Millennium. Working to get it fixed.
• Browsing book went out via Nexpress (supposedly blocked from circing to NExpress…investigating)
• Nexpress issue with some items not able to be checked out – reported to III
