Circulation Services – Circ, Reserves, and Stacks
Statistics:
• 311 items scanned off of carrels and lockers; 192 of those were “available” and returned to the stacks
• Days before the dates line up in numerical order again: 396 (12/13/14)
Highlights: (Progress towards Goals, accomplishments)
Armstrong:
• Everything seems to be working all at the same time! Mark your calendars!
• Bindery shipment sent out
Davis Family:
• Oberlin stats done (and documented exactly how they were calculated, so there will be consistency in following years)
• New posters made and hung advertising circ services (along the lines of the ref posters in hallways and elevators. Part of our “visibility” goal)
• Billed for 4 pieces of overdue equipment (1 came back later that day…)
• Stats week (tallying questions asked for ref librarians)
• Hours set through end of Spring term
• 4 students interviewed for potential J-term employment
Stacks:
• Reshelving
• Training new stacks student
• Planning trip to Bates
Reserves:
• Training Megan to fill in when Kellam is out
• Attended WHD training with Dan
• Discussing possibility of longer reserve media loan period
Teams
CTT: 3 hours of meeting about commercial streaming video
Challenges:
• Confusion over 2 DVDs with same call #, one with subtitles and one without. Consulting with cataloging
• Students giving each other crap about number of shifts on sign-up schedule
