Circulation Services – Circ, Reserves, and Stacks
Statistics:
• Time it took Voyager 1 to get to Jupiter: 1.5 years
• Time it took Voyager 1 radio signals to reach the Earth from Jupiter: 45 minutes
Highlights: (Progress towards Goals, accomplishments)
Armstrong:
• Summer student interviewing and hiring
• Student schedules – lots of subs
• Poster printing for symposium
• Weeding project underway
• Painter coming tomorrow to fix water stain from leak
• Lots of scanner use
Davis Family:
• Prepping for IUG conference in CA – planning which sessions to attend
• Working on clarifying descriptions on HDMI related connectors
• Party for Kim A. (and Will) on Wednesday – they will be missed!
• Trying to keep up with student subbing requests while Kim is out
• Hopeful that we are set for the summer with students
• Meeting with LS coordinators Wednesday am
Stacks:
• Catching up on reshelving
• Manning the desk in student gaps, Kim’s vacation
Reserves:
• BLSE reserves: organizing lists and working on ERes for BLNM
• A few springs requests still coming in
Challenges:
• Armstrong printer down, part ordered, back up now.
• Rash of reserves and equipment not getting checked in at Armstrong
• Staffing gaps in coming weeks not getting covered…a sign of things to come in a post-Kim A. world?
• Broken student laptop – no word from patron
