Circulation Services – Circ, Reserves, and Stacks

Statistics:
• Horror film revenue, 2012: $390,000,000
• Number of candy corns produced each year: 9 billion (35 million pounds)
• Percentage of circ staff that is either high C or high S – 100%
Highlights: (Progress towards Goals, accomplishments)
Armstrong:
• Very busy library
• Lots of plotter questions
Davis Family:
• Circ meeting (penalty points, 24/7 hours, DiSC profiles)
• Early closing Monday due to something or other
• Labeling equipment, transferring Kindle to Armstrong
• A few student training reminders
• Gearing up for penalty points
• Chargers and headphones are leaving the building as a result of the “due at the end of the day” policy change. We’re okay with this.
• DVD circulation at max capacity
• Discussion with Ilsley re. “last patron” field in Millennium
• WHD implementation plan
Stacks:
• Priority is on returns, which are in full swing
• Reset faculty authors shelves for new display
• Hired new stacks student
Reserves:
• Reserves training for circ students
• Working on the BL annual report
• Proofreading LIS annual report for Doreen
• Double checking copyright compliance of ERes materials
• Copyright course week 6
• Liaisons meeting
• Circ meeting

Challenges:
• Very overdue reserve book
• Shawn out, not able to answer plotter questions
• Patron wanted us to use the intercom to make an announcement (during the early closing) about some lost papers. Very insistent.
