Circulation Services – Circ, Reserves, and Stacks

Statistics:
• 35 patrons were billed $4581 in replacement fees
• Available thesis carrels: 0
Highlights: (Progress towards Goals, accomplishments)
Armstrong:
• Busy library
• Lots of printing
• Reserves still trickling in
• Student training meeting took place – decent attendance
• Bindery shipment sent out
• Attended new microform machine training
• ALL LIS meeting
• Lots of student subbing/swapping
• Worked on microform computer to see if we can get it working
Davis Family:
• Three new students hired, one cross-training from Armstrong – lots of training
• Calmer than the first two weeks
• ALL LIS meeting
• Microform machine training
• Styli added to the Kindles and iPads
• Billed Spring and Summer lost items
• Trained on SSH (Millennium Telnet system) so I can do things in Barbara’s absence
• Cleaned DVD repair machine
• Prepping for 6-month reviews

Stacks:
• Training two new students
• Pulling the rest of the HM’s and HQ’s
• Shifting G’s and H’s
Reserves:
• Slowing down
• Following up on 15 recalled items (down from 100 last week!)
• Attended Curricular technology discussion with Mike
• Online copyright course has begun

CT Team: Exploring the “flash cards” plugin for Moodle

Challenges:
• Students not getting paid in Banner (SEO is working on it this morning)
• Cracked iPad
• Computers won’t work with the new microform machines
• Reserves not getting checked in at the desk
• Packers got robbed
