Circulation Services – Circ, Reserves, and Stacks

Statistics:
• Total number of items placed on reserve this summer, all locations: 1339
• Reserve emails processed so far for Fall: 500
Highlights: (Progress towards Goals, accomplishments)
Armstrong:
• Hired 5 new students for the fall
• Fall schedule looking good with only a few holes
• Installed 2 new thin-client walk-ups
• Awaiting new microfilm scanner and iPad
Davis Family:
• Good post-summer lunch with the students – good topics of discussion
• Added two high-end Canon video cameras
• All BL equipment was returned
• Removed 6 mini-DV camcorders from collection
• HEAT replacement recommendation submitted
• LIS picnic
• Set up two new microfilm scanners – awaiting computers
• Reshelving last week, pulling for reserves this week
• A few nibbles on the Fall schedule
• Tried out new electronic “green slip” for student employment
• Various cleaning, organizing, and inventory projects
Stacks:
• All BLWC and LS reserves reshelved
• Cleaned up the Z’s, which were miss-shelved during the Music move
• Reset all of the new books shelving back panels to face forward
• Looking forward to having stacks workers back to work in the Fall
Reserves:
• Packed up Davison
• BLWC went well – enjoyed the conference and time away!
• Created BLWC display in Davis lobby
• Oh yeah…and Fall reserves

CT Team: Segue turning off Friday!

Challenges:
• Need to get the new plotter setup at Armstrong before Fall starts up
• Some shelving mistakes
• Staff wanting to keep (permanently) a circ laptop
