Circulation Services – Circ, Reserves, and Stacks
Statistics:
• Percentage of new iPads that were booked the first day I added them to the system: 50%
• Vegas odds that the HEAT replacement team would come to a consensus on its recommendation: 96:1 (I should have put $10 on it…)
Highlights: (Progress towards Goals, accomplishments)
Armstrong:
• Very quiet library and building
• Large bindery shipment sent out
• Finishing shelf reading
• Training one new student
• Prepping library for the fall
• Very few reserves
Davis Family:
• Fall hours set
• 4 new iPads imaged and added
• Prepping new camcorders to be added to the pool
• New microfilm machines have arrived – awaiting setup
• Busy end of the week last week with returns, short staff
• Assisted Ilsley staff with “fines paid” module
• Students hard at work reshelving and shelf reading
• Cleaning area behind circ – carpet cleaning scheduled
• HEAT replacement recommendation almost finalized
• Looking forward to LIS picnic
• Dan won the 50/50 raffle at the employee golf tournament
Stacks:
• Reshelving LS returns
• Planning DVD shift to make room for increase in TV shows
Reserves:
• Participating in BLWC
• Removing LS and BLSE items from reserve
• Lots of Fall reserves coming in
Challenges:
• Millennium upgrade had a known issue that no one told us about, waited a week to get that issue patched. (Now fixed)
• iPad not returned on time – interfered with booking
