Circulation Services – Circ, Reserves, and Stacks

Statistics:
• 6 month reviews left to do : 0
• Armstrong gate count for October: 30,079
Highlights: (Progress towards Goals, accomplishments)
Armstrong:
• Helping out the Helpdesk on several issues
• Now have a color printer/copier/scanner
• Peggy will give monthly reports on its use
• Working on Dec. exam schedule
• Lots of activity in the library
• Many ILL requests
Davis Family:
• Various break and exam sign-ups going on
• Researching new microfilm/fiche readers
Monthly circ meeting
• JM gearing up for conference in Atlanta next week
• Gathering feedback on circ satisfaction survey
• Increased activity
• Staff learning how to put items on reserve
• New student 30-day reviews
• Will use temp cards for 24/7 shifts
Stacks:
• VHS shift complete – got them all onto one compact shelf aisle – everything cleaned and shelf-read
• All browsing books have been shifted after CM weeded – freed up shelves for shift of graphic novels
• Shift of graphic novels started
• DVD shift continues with regular batches
Reserves:
• Contacted all Winter term faculty re. reserves
• Created reserves quick-start guide in Prezi
• Met with Terry and Rebekah re. personal copies, when to purchase for the collection
• Updated wiki
• Thinking about online ERes submission form
• Over 2000 items now on reserve

Web team: Planning focus groups for user needs study
Space Team: n/a

Challenges:
• Had to reset a moveable shelf at Armstrong
• Overdue equipment is rampant
• A couple of late student employee shift arrivals
• JStor down on Monday
• Expectation that reserve requests will be done within an hour of requesting
• Reserve book taken out of the building
