Circulation Services – Circ, Reserves, and Stacks

Statistics:
• Number of carrels available: 0
• Number of pars I had yesterday: 0
• Number of pars I should have had if my putting wasn’t so awful: 4
• Number of iPads available: 0
• Number of new staff hired this week: 1
Highlights: (Progress towards Goals, accomplishments)
Armstrong:
• ILL and NExpress leveling off
• Reserves slowing to a trickle
• Attended Scopus training
• ALL LIS meeting
• Lots of student schedule swapping
• Student lunch training/meeting
Davis Family:
• Lots of student training
• Lots of activity at the desk – all aspects of circ are “pedal to the metal”
• Starting to look ahead to Fall break scheduling
• iPads very popular
• Added new Mac power adapters (with more power – manly grunt)
• Circ sub interviews and a hire was made – welcome (back) to Kim Ammons!
Stacks:
• Shifting CD shelving, signage – many missing CDs found!
• Keeping up with returns, DVD collection
• Helping out at the desk
Reserves:
• Reserves
• Presented at the student training session Thursday

Web team: creating posters for LIS services, prepping special edition eNewsletter
Space Team: not meeting

Challenges:
• Unstable ERes links
• Wayward reserve items
• Armstrong plotter dead for a while – resurrected
• Morgan is gone
• Had to fire a circ student
• General increased stress level due to business
