Circulation Services – Circ, Reserves, and Stacks

Statistics: Pounds of chocolate consumed by circ students in the last week: 6.5 (actual weight – not an estimation)
Highlights: (Progress towards Goals, accomplishments)
Armstrong:
• Very busy
• All computers and printers working!
• Lots of returns
• Bindery shipment returned today – time to start on the next one
Music:
• Packing up the last remnants
Davis Family:
• Very busy in the evenings (Sunday was the busiest night in a year)
• Blog post about new digital cameras
• Hired one more student for the Fall
• Working on post-graduation student schedule
• Senior lunch celebration today
• Thinking about reinstituting Thesis slips for books checked out in carrels
• Hours via Google calendar now live on the Drupal site
• “Copy to LIS blog” category added to the circ blog – will feed posts to the LIS blog

Stacks:
• There are a few books to reshelve
• Building a toothpick replica of the Great Wall of China (to scale) in spare time
Reserves:
• Working on BLSE, first request for Fall, 2011! (good grief! – ed.)
CT team: Responding to AD’s response to our LMS recommendation
Space Team: on hiatus till June

Challenges:
• Usual end of term sights, sounds, and smells
• Compact shelving in Music broken – using override key for final week of operation
• Chatty overnight security guard
• A few missed student shifts – senioritis, stress, lack of sleep, etc.
• Student wearing headphones while working at the circ desk
• UPS lost two Nexpress shipments
