Circulation Services – Circ, Reserves, and Stacks

Highlights: (Progress towards Goals, accomplishments)
Armstrong:
• Lots of maps activity for a geography course. Maps everywhere. Maps.
• Steady ILL
• Lots of student shift swapping
• Attending performance review training
Music:
• Music periodicals inventory in prep for move
• More than usual student shift swapping
Davis Family:
• A little game I like to call Performance Reviews
• Library 101 meeting with Mike Roy
• New students all given tour – on to training
• Helping pull reserve books
• Busy at night
• HS auditor workflow, load from Banner
• Updated LS handbooks for faculty and students
• All LIS staff meeting
Stacks:
• All carrels checked out
Reserves:
• Over 1500 items on reserve
• Incoming reserves manageable at this point
• Second week of online copyright course
• New “put on reserve” form for faculty on MIDCAT
CT team: no meeting this week; conference call with Longsight
Space Team: Music Library and LIS office moves

Challenges:
• Complaints about closing at 5 on Friday and Saturday of Winter Carnival
• People miss the TV, dislike the art display
• Screening canceled Friday night because Library was closed and screener couldn’t get the film
• Other screening communication snafus – nothing major, but inconvenience for faculty. Working to identify where the process is breaking down.
