Circulation Services – Circ, Reserves, and Stacks

Statistics: Amount of fines moved to college bills this week: $4440
Time it took the first person to notice and bring back their books asking for a credit: 41 hours
Highlights: (Progress towards Goals, accomplishments)
Armstrong:
• Five or six fire alarms this week
• ILL picking up
• Helping out with media needs
• Helping patrons with the plotter
• Replaced the downstairs print release station
• Library busy with end of term work
• Bindery shipment work continues
• Training on ILL Sending with Rachel
Music:
• Vital signs are steady
Davis Family:
• Ten new students hired (2 for Spring, 8 for Summer/Fall)
• Fines moved to college bills
• Winter break and Spring student schedules loaded into Outlook
• All LIS staff meeting
• Managers retreat
• FAQs added to the Borrowing page
• Will start cleaning up the Wiki page today
• Reminding faculty and staff to log in at the desk when they check out a laptop
• Beethoven 5 performed with College Orchestra
• DVD repair machine clogged hose de-clogged
• Detailed schematics for matter transporter left in Computers for Dummies were returned to owner
Stacks:
• A few carrel keys trickling in – may have enough for online sign-ups for Spring
• New shelver hired
Reserves:
• Spring activity picking up (the semester, not coiled metal)
• Restoring lots of ERes pages
CT team: Course Hub progress, beta planning. LMS pilots progressing. Preparing LMS survey.
Space Team: All Music Library, all the time

Challenges:
• Duplexer on Armstrong printer malfunctioning – Symquest called
• Moveable stacks at Armstrong malfunctioning
• Gate counter at Armstrong malfunctioning
• Apparently some kind of malfunctioning epidemic at Armstrong
• Some confusion the past two weeks opening Music on Saturday. Resolved (just in time for two closed weekends!)
