Circulation Services – Circ, Reserves, and Stacks

Statistics: Expired Middlebury patrons deleted from Millennium: 2848
Outdated patron messages deleted from Millennium: 143
Highlights: (Progress towards Goals, accomplishments)
Armstrong:
• Worked to add special software to a lab computer
• Customer service student training
• Student ILL trainings
• Fixed virus on staff computer
• HEAT training
• Busy in the mornings with students printing and copying
• Steady ILL
• Schedule gradually filling
• Spring schedule sign-ups
• Cleared the Nexpress and ILL holdshelf
• Processed return shipment from bindery – no room on shelf for some
• Monthly search lists
• A few winter and spring reserves
Music:
• Spring schedule sign-up – last Music schedule EVER
• A few gaps in schedule due to sudden student departure – most filled
• A movement to create a huge domino display from Music to Davis using Music Library books and scores did not happen due to lack of anyone thinking of the idea
• Weeding play collection in anticipation of the move
Davis Family:
• A few gaps in the student schedule, but nothing unmanageable
• Additional circ refresher training added to the customer service training
• Equipment inventory progressing
• Carrel sign-up and renewal
• Interviewing for Spring/Summer/Fall circ students
• One staff member starred in a TV show
Stacks:
• All thesis carrels assigned
• Things settling down after a busy first week
Reserves:
• Some Winter stuff
• Starting on Spring ERes
CT team:
Space Team: Continuing Music Library-related work

Challenges:
• Need another student shelver (a student to shelve books, not someone who would presumably shelve all of our extra students)
• Scanner copier not working in BIH208 – Symquest called
• EREs Manager email address discovered – has been receiving spam and a few legitimate emails since 2006. Helpdesk will delete
• The only missing disc of the six-disc Isben DVD set is the one needed for a Spring course
