Circulation Services – Circ, Reserves, and Stacks

Statistics: patrons who will be billed next week if they don’t return their library items: 69
Germs infesting every corner of campus: n+1
Drunk patrons in the library this week: at least 1, who had driven from Cornwall looking for a bar
Carrels remaining: 5
Highlights: (Progress towards Goals, accomplishments)
Armstrong:
• Welcome back, Nancy!
• Met with Joe D. to plan a customer service training
• Printer in Bi-Hall fixed
• ILL picking up
Music:
• Some schedule shifts, but no gaps
• Computers in the lab dying
Davis Family:
• Busy place!
• Non-thesis students taking up the remaining carrels
• Film bookings seem to be running smoothly
• Student hiring done – 7 new students
• Student schedule up in Outlook, contact list almost done
• All LIS meeting Wednesday
• Quiet Saturday
• Met with Spec. Coll. To discuss possibility of circ getting a key. No.
Stacks:
• All gov docs from this summer shelved in two days
Reserves:
• Reserves continue at a steady pace
• Following up with acq on replacing missing items needed for reserve
• Still waiting on about 10 recalled items for reserve
• Ironing out bookings/screenings workflow
CT team: Discussing pilots of LMS’s
Space Team: organizing feedback and refining recommendations for the AD’s

Challenges:
• Wilson Café closed weekends = complaints
• Music stacks broken – awaiting a visit from Systematics
• Training issues around checking in and out of Nexpress and ILL books
• Problem with links to journal articles in ERes – working with Bryan Carson to resolve
• Expectation of immediate turn-around for reserve processing
