Now that Breadloaf is over, please put any and all requests for items to be sent up the mountain on Kellam’s desk with a note explaining why you are leaving this random item on her desk.

Toner scams
People claiming to be from Canon have been calling recently trying to get us to order toner for our copy machine. Please be aware that all of our toner ordering for printers or copiers is through Symquest – we do not deal directly with any toner suppliers. If someone calls about toner, please direct them to a supervisor. Supervisors – if you are not speaking to a Symquest rep, try to get contact info so that we can report the scam.
Conference/travel form
If anyone is interested in going to the conference I mentioned in the meeting – or any upcoming conference, site-visit, workshop, lecture, course, apprenticeship, etc. – please check with me first, then fill out this form.
Reminder: Reference Training
I’m hoping to see lots of circ staff and students tomorrow afternoon at the Ref Training Session! Note the time change: 3:30 -4:30 (instead of 3-4).
Please review Research-How to Help in advance. Whether or not you’re able to attend the session, I think you’ll find this document is useful not only for your work at the desk but also for your own research projects.

Log-in moved
The log-in link for the blog has been moved to the top right, instead of having to scroll half-way down the page. Enjoy.
Equipment Etiquette
For those media-savvy borrowers who utilize our equipment through loans, we would appreciate that you double-check to be certain all items are inside each case upon returning to the desk, as noted on the tag attached to each bag (including guides/instructions). Also, if you can take a moment to spool the adapter wires into a somewhat orderly placement within each case, and bring it to the Circ Desk before the clock strikes 12:00 (midnight), it would be oh-so-wonderful. It saves time for us, and makes for good practice in considering others and their time. We really appreciate it!
