Course response forms

Hi all,  Just as we did last spring semester Armstrong will once again be a collection point for course response forms starting 11/30 and ending at 5 pm on Friday Dec 4.    Students filling out the forms have been instructed that they can turn the forms in at Armstrong Library.    When you receive a form it will be in an envelope.   You are to immediately deposit the form in the collection box located on the floor  near the calculator drawer.    Please do not hesitate to ask Carrie, Nancy or Todd if you have any questions.

Circ Student Employee of the Week

cookieCongratulations to Shweta Rajbhandari!
Shweta was nominated for Circ Student Employee of the Week by a co-worker at Armstrong Library – for always being friendly, enthusiastic, kind, and a pleasure to work with. Shweta, please stop by the Main Library Circ Desk for your award – a little goodie bag of home-made chocolate chip cookies.
Happy Friday to you all – stop by for a munchkin donut today – at Main Circ – while supplies last. 🙂

Pink Bands, Blue Bands, Green Bands Oh My!

colors
The different colored bands around library materials that we borrow from other libraries can be really confusing! Each color has to be handled a little differently.
Here is a Quick Guide to What Each Color Band Means:
Green Band = ILL; in borrower account, scan barcode on band; change due date at check-out to match the date on the band; if you don’t do this the borrower will get an overdue notice before the book is due back; renewals can be requested by the borrower by contacting ILL staff at mdyill@middlebury.edu; when returned, check-in and place on ILL/NExpress returns cart
Blue Band = NExpress; in borrower account, scan barcode on item; system generates due date; write the due date on the band; can be renewed X2; when returned, check-in and place on ILL/NExpress returns cart
Pink Band = ILL In-Library-Use only; in borrower account, scan barcode on band; change due date to match the date on the band; when returned, check-in and place back on the hold shelf; this helps prevents it from being sent back to the owning library prematurely
Supervisors – please check the ILL/NExpress cart regularly for pink bands and re-shelve on the hold shelf (check-in first)
Let us know if you have any questions!
Thanks!
Elin

203K printer

Our 203K printer has been acting a little strange this week.    Mostly it will freeze up and not print even print jobs that have been sent directly to it.     Please have students print to 202 when the printer freezes.   Shutting it off and back on often clears the problem.   If it does not want print after a reboot then shut it down and direct print jobs to 202 and 161.  We are working to correct this problem and I’ll update you when I know more.
