We’ve put out earplugs and Smarties at Armstrong for exam period, along with signs that ask students to be considerate of others. Hopefully students will self-monitor their noise. In case you feel compelled to ask someone to quiet down, you can point out the signs when you do so.

Yikes, earplugs and Smarties are popular! I must now add that both will be available ‘while supplies last.’ I brought in more candy, but I don’t have much left. Tonight when I’m at the Main Library, I’ll try to remember to look for more earplugs.
