Welcome to CCI Connect! Check out the newest internships, jobs, and CCI events postings and get started! As you browse the entries, clicking on the internship or job titles will bring you straight to the MOJO posting (you will need to sign in the first time); in many places, we’ve also provided a link to the organization. If you need help or want to talk through ideas and options, come to drop-ins hours at the Center for Careers & Internships (CCI) in Adirondack House every Monday-Friday from 2-5 p.m. No appointment necessary for drop-in hours!

What’s New in INTERNSHIPS:

• Want to protect cheetahs and other endangered African wildlife?  This paid internship in Namibia is a one-in-a-million opportunity for a Midd conservation major or others with a passion for wildlife and travel.  Apply now to be the Namibia Wildlife-Community Conservation Conflict Intern for Generation Awakening!  (Deadline: 4/30)
• As the Environmental Advocacy Intern at the Natural Resources Council of Maine, you’ll research environmental issues, draft reports for legislators and other policy-makers, and connect with environmentalists around the state to help protect and conserve Maine’s gorgeous landscape. (Deadline: 4/30)

INTERNSHIP APPLICATION DEADLINES THIS WEEK (April 6-12):

• Middlebury FoodWorks PAID internships in Louisville focus on learning about food systems/agriculture from a variety of perspectives, including  Local Food Policy and Communications;  Farming/Agricultural Literature & Libraries;  Hands-on Farming and Microbusiness; and more including: Food Systems, Food Literacy & Farm-Based Education, Research on Agriculture and Biofuels, Urban Agriculture, Community Development and Education, Business Alliance Locavore, School Food Gardens,  University Sustainability Eco-Reps, and University Sustainability Farm to Campus. (Deadline: 4/6)

JOB APPLICATION DEADLINES THIS WEEK (April 6-12):

This Week’s CCI Events:

• Mon, April 7, 6-7 pm Bridge International Academies Information Session  Learn about how this model of low-cost private school chains use an entirely scripted curriculum to provide a world class education to some of the poorest people in the world. (Hillcrest 103)
• Wed, April 9 4:30-8:00 pm Social Skydiving Seniors! First attend the Social Etiquette & Networking Workshop from 4:30-6:00 to learn about social etiquette, working the room, making introductions and talking to strangers, then practice your newly acquired skills and make contacts in a fun and low-pressure environment at a Mixer with Middlebury Alumni from 6-8 pm with free appetizers and cash bar.  Limited space. RSVPs required.  Please plan to attend the entire evening. (51 Main at the Bridge)
• Thurs, April 10 – Fri, April 11 Don’t forget to attend the all-campus Spring Student Symposium!  (Thursday 6:30-9:30 pm in MCA; Friday all day in MBH & Johnson)

CCI Reminders and Related Notices:

• Get your Internship Funding applications in by Sunday! If you have secured an unpaid summer internship, you can apply for funding through CCI to cover costs such as transportation, food, housing etc. Visit go/summer funding for full details. (Applications due: 4/6)
• Got a phone interview coming up? Need a quiet, private space? You can reserve an interview room at CCI that comes with a secure landline. Call 443-1500 to reserve your space.
• CCI has listings of the 2013 Summer Internships that Middlebury students participated in. Check them out for ideas and feel free to contact the student interns for additional information.
