The Center for Strategic and International Studies (CSIS) is a Washington-based non-profit, bipartisan public policy organization established in 1962 to provide strategic insights and practical policy solutions to decision makers concerned with global security and prosperity.
The Freeman Chair in China Studies at CSIS is recruiting for 3 full-time, paid interns who can provide dedicated support for research related to China’s economic issues, during the period from June 3, 2019 to September 7, 2019.
The Freeman Chair is dedicated to delivering informed public policy debate, expert briefings, and strategic policy recommendations on China and East Asia. Key research areas include U.S.-China relations, cross-Strait relations, Chinese domestic politics, and Chinese foreign policy. An ideal candidate will have substantive knowledge on contemporary China’s economy and policy process, particularly on issues related to technology, and familiarity with how to find and analyze primary Chinese documents and data.
