1945: Frank “Socko” Wurm arrived on campus after fighting in World War II. Wurm made an appearance for the Brooklyn Dodgers in 1944.
1949: The team went 10-3 and won five of six State Series games. The season highlighted a stretch of five consecutive State Series titles.
1941-51: Middlebury had eight players who signed professional contracts during these years.
1950: Middlebury Pitcher Jim Newman signs contract with the Yankees.
