Perhaps the second-best coach in Middlebury Baseball history was Simeon “Simmy” Murch who coached the team between the years 1914 and 1917. Murch boasts the highest winning percentage of any Middlebury Baseball coach winning 38 games and losing only 21 (.639%). Known for his warm personality, an uncanny ability to mentally reach his players, and an unmatched knowledge of the game, “Simmy” was beloved by the Middlebury community.
