The history of athletic facilities at Middlebury College is full of long standing traditions of state-of-the-art buildings and fields. Over the years, Middlebury has transformed its athletic complexes into some of the finest and most advanced facilities in the entire Northeast.

What began with an outdoor hockey rink and soccer and lacrosse fields in the center of campus has evolved into a new wing of the Middlebury campus devoted entirely to athletics. Three turf fields, a remodeled basketball arena, and one of the largest division III hockey rinks in the nation are just a few of the complexes that catch the eye of visitors when they step foot on the Middlebury Campus. A vast football stadium and an 18-hole golf course are enriched with stunning views of the Vermont mountain ranges that accompany the already impressive athletic facilities across the Middlebury campus.
