Would you welcome a break from your daily routine to learn some new skills and network with peers statewide? Vermont Women in Higher Education (VWHE) has a terrific opportunity for you!  As a woman working in higher education in Vermont, you are automatically a member of VWHE.  There are no annual dues.

The 2015 VWHE Leadership Conference titled “Better Together mentoring for success” is scheduled for March 26-27, at the Killington Grand Hotel in Killington, Vermont.

This year’s conference has a terrific line up of dynamic speakers, engaging workshops and more networking opportunities than ever! The pre-conference draws more and more women every year.  This year’s pre-conference keynote features Kerry Secrest, who will speak on “Building Strong Networks.”  Following Kerry, comedian Josie Leavitt will lead a workshop on “Finding Your Voice with Humor.”  Rounding out the evening will be a “Professional Clothing Swap.” So pull out those good wearables that you no longer use, and trade them in for some exciting new-to-you garments for your closet.  Accessories are welcome too.

The conference keynote speaker will be Bethany Bosch.  You may recognize her as the woman who recently swam solo across the English Channel.

So, mark your calendars and register now at http://www.VWHE.org to take advantage of the $10 discount for early bird signup by March 1.

I look forward to seeing as many of you as possible at the conference.  This is a great opportunity to network and recharge your batteries both professionally and personally.  We will wrap up the conference with a terrific raffle that funds the VWHE Scholarship.  Please come prepared to purchase raffle tickets  @ $1 each or $5 for 6 tickets.  Winners will walk away with some awesome prizes courtesy of our generous donors, artisan crafters, and professional service providers both locally and nationwide.  If you have an item you would like to donate to the cause, please call or send me an email to let me know.  A donation receipt will be provided.
