Saturday, October 12th, 12:00–4:00 p.m.—Snow Bowl Open House and Foliage Lift Rides

To Benefit the Middlebury College Snow Bowl Ski Patrol and Middlebury Community Care Coalition.

Take a chair lift ride to the top of Worth Mountain and enjoy a breathtaking view! You’ll see Vermont dressed in fall splendor as a panoramic scene stretches from the Green Mountains to the Adirondacks across Lake Champlain.

Purchase of a ticket (adults: $5, students and children 12 and under: $2) includes a ride on the Worth Mountain chairlift, live music by student bands, mingling and more. There will be a raffle, and a barbecue in full swing all afternoon with food and drinks available for purchase. Proceeds will go to the volunteer Middlebury College Ski Patrol as well as the Middlebury Community Care Coalition, a volunteer-based non-profit dedicated to providing basic food and housing needs for citizens of Middlebury and the surrounding area.

The Ski Patrol will also be collecting non-perishable food items to donate to HOPE (Helping Overcome Poverty’s Effects), which like MCCC, works to combat poverty in the greater Middlebury community.

Come get your season passes, visit the ski shop for retail goods or to set up season leases and visit with Snow School folks about upcoming programs for the ’13-’14 season!

All are welcome to drive up on their own (just 20 minutes from campus), but free Addison Country Transit (ACTR) shuttle bases will also be available between Adirondack Circle and the Snow Bowl (to the Bowl: 11:25 a.m., 12:55 p.m., 2:10 p.m.; back to the College: 1:30 p.m. 2:45 p.m., 4:00 p.m.).  The bus will stop at the Bread Loaf Inn at 11:55 a.m. for those wishing to depart or return from the Bread Loaf campus. The Ski Patrol would love to see you there!
