The Snow Bowl was recently featured in an article titled “A Course of a Different Color” in Business People Vermont magazine. The article highlights General Manager Peter Mackey’s contributions to the Snow Bowl, his long connection to the mountain (beginning at age 5), as well as the many changes that have occurred over the years.

The article also focuses on the Rikert Ski Touring Center Mike Hussey, its new director.

  1. I have had the thought before and a comment of Mike’s in the article reminded me again of my idea to winterize a Bread Loaf building and offer overnight lodging.

“Come stay at our great inns, eat at our restaurants and enjoy ski touring in our Robert Frost region,” he says, emphasizing that Middlebury is a diverse après-ski town.

A place to stay at Breadloaf would be a great convenience for out-of-town racers and a draw to those who want a “cross-country” weekend with no driving required after arrival.
