It is with sadness that I inform you of the death of Thomas W. Billings of East Middlebury, a counter worker and barista at the Juice Bar who passed away early this morning after a long illness. Tom was 66.
A graduate of Otter Valley High School, Tom worked for Standard Register prior to starting his full-time employment at the College in the summer of 2004. The director of dining services, Matthew Biette, described Tom as “an old style Vermonter with a dry wit and a wry smile” who was known to offer “grandfatherly advice” to students when needed.
Our hearts go out to Tom’s wife, Monique Bedard, who works in Dining Services, and to his daughter, Gail Billings of Forest Dale. The Sanderson Funeral Home in Middlebury is handling the arrangements and no services are planned.
