This project seeks to explore the stereotypes and expand on conceptions of urban poverty vs. rural poverty, particularly with regard to education. Education is often seen as a gateway tool for members of lower social classes to achieve upward mobility. We are interested in investigating how this upward mobility might vary depending on the rural/urban backdrop. We conclude by assessing how variances in education can result in particular labor opportunities.
