Adventure Writing & Digital Storytelling
In this class students explore the adventure narrative in the digital age. Equipped with laptop, camera, GoPro, audio and video recorders–the tools of today’s investigative journalists–students take adventures in the Middlebury area (anything from iceboating to primitive biathlon, from wilderness winter camping to coyote hunting), then they sharpen their skills as writers, producing both a 20-page essay and a digital project using Final Cut.
